The software has been created as universal software for security cross platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and functionality on the local and distant computers. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software using net that surveillance workstation can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition drastically improves reliability because all parts operate as autonomous applications. If one unit fails, other components go on working. For example if the `record` module fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by activity, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart pc via Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
